Comtemplating installing an external hard drive to image the internal hard drive as backup. What is the recipe to upgrade to USB2 from USB? Please advise. Thanks for your time.

    Happy Easter Bunny.

It is more than likely that your motherboard does not natively support USB 2 - I see that you are running 98Se. You will need to check the manual for info.

The usual way to upgrade to USB 2 is to install a USB 2 PCI card, but do ensure that it is compatible with and has drivers for Win 98SE.

    Hello Lis,

On 98 need to install drivers for USB 2. Any PCI 2.0 card that you buy should come with those drivers.
