    Hi Molehill...

It sounds like your talking about the "Address Bar" not showing so you cannot see the address of the web page...is this correct? Does this happen for all web pages on just one in particular?

To turn on the Address Bar...
    1) Open IE
    2) Click on "View "
    3) From "View" menu select "Toolbars "
    4) From "Toolbar" menu make sure "Address Bar" is selected/checked

  3. to hide this advert.

Kent, I checked what you told me right here on this BBS
I clicked on View, Toolbars, and there is a check mark on Address bar, but no URL shows. There is also a checkmark by lock tool bars,, should it be?

Can you see the address bar, or the word address?

You need to uncheck that to unlock your toolbar before you can make changes.

Yes, I see Address, and I can right click on it, and it brings up a "menu" that says:
    Standard buttons***

    Address Bar***

    Links

    Yahoo Companion

    My search files***

    Norton Anti Virus

    MSN

    Lock the toolbars

    *** means check mark

I did onlock the tool bar as Newt recommended, but still no address bar

    Go button***

To the right of the word Address you should see a vertical bar. Move your pointer over this bar and you will notice that it turns into a double sided arrow. While this double sided arrow is displayed depress and hold either of the mouse buttons and drag the vertical bar to the right. This should expose the address bar window. Once this is done right click on the toolbar again and select Lock the Toolbars.

    Does this resolve your problem?

YES! Thank you, and I unchecked the Search Files which gave me more room at the top. It is exactly like I like it now. Thanks for this board, and thanks for all you people who are willing to help!!
