on my computer that uses windows 98 i have aol 8.0 on it. how do upgrade it to aol 8.0 plus? my other computer has it and somehow i got it as a fluke because i tried aol 9.0 and didnt like it so when i removed it instead of giving me 8.0 i got 8.0 plus. we use time warners roadrunner system to connect to the internet and not dialup. in fact on the windows 98 computer the dialup modem died years ago and aol will not recognize this. it has me connected as tsp instead of broadband cable like the one upstairs is. any suggestions would be appreciated.

    problem solved

when i had to completely restore my computer which uses windows 98 i had aol 4.0 on it which is ancient, so i found a free download of what i thought was the aol 7.0 version and surprise it turned out to be aol 8.0 plus! so since im getting it free what the heck and now it doesnt think the computer is dialup anymore and has it set for broadband. what a nice accident. and to think i looked all over for that version and couldnt find it. :)

Thanks for letting us know the outcome. Sorry we couldn't help out. In those types of specific cases you may want to search for AOL "usergroups ".

    Worked out OK :)
