upgrade from 4.0

    will updating to 5.0 or higher speed my system up and will all my stuff, icq,ect stay or will i have to redo:confused:

    If you upgrade by installing IE5+ over IE4, it SHOULD retain all settings, Favorites, ICQ et al. (I'm a pessimist at heart. :D)

    As to whether it will be faster, the best answer is "probably ". It depends on your system, Internet connection, etc.

    This is just from my experience and FYI.

    I'm running IE 5.01 and happy as a clam with it. It is easy to use and doesn't make me crazy. (High praise around my house.)

    About a year ago I went to IE 5.5 and lived with it for less than a week before getting rid of it. Just remember that all that is newer is not necessarily better but IE 5 is better than IE 4. :)
