   I recently have updates that will not install. I ran %windir%/WindowsUpdate.log and it stated updates not needed. however, i have these updates still trying to install every time i close XP. How can i stop or get rid of these updates trying to install?

   Try running Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and remove any references to the Updates.
