UnCompress a HD

    My normal HD wont work in the computer so i hooked up another 1 but it keeps getting errors tellin me to re-install win95. but because the drive is compressed it wont let me and i have no idea what to delete so i have enough room on my drive. can i just go delete crazy? i really need this computer to work, thank you to whoever can help me.     You didn't mention which version of 95 you are running. I would say that the second harddrive has a FAT32 file system on it. 95 and 95a does not recognize it, and determines it is compressed, 95b does. If the hard drive is larger than 2 gig, chances are it is FAT32, as FAT16 will not work on a drive or partition larger than 2 gig.
    You would have to repartition using fdisk without large disk support (FAT16) for 95 to use it. If the drive is larger than 2 gig's, you will have to set 2 gig partitions to use all of the space on it.
