    Hello all,
I have upgraded from Windows XP Professional to Windows Vista Ultimate. When I had Windows XP I did a few tweaks to it to increase the system performance by adjusting a few registry values in Hkey Currect User<Control Panel<Desktop. The values I adjusted were menushowdelay, I set that from 400 to 1. I adjusted waittokillapptimeout from 20000 to 2000. Lastly I adjusted Autoendtasks from 0 to 1. All 3 tweaks were very useful and increased performance on my computer. :D When I upgraded to Windows Vista I proceeded to do the same thing. I went to the same directory in the registry and I changed menushowdelay and waittokillapptimeout just fine. However in the Hkey current user<Control Panel<Desktop directory I couldn't find the Auto End Tasks value. Its seems to be absent in Windows Vista. :( I am wondering if I have to create a new registry key in that directory or if that key is located somewhere else in the registry. I have looked on many websites and have looked through some of the tweaks they have and there is no mention of the autoendtasks tweak. :( I would like to enable this tweak because sometimes I have programs that can freeze up and stop responding and this tweak will allow windows to do a force quit on the program without me having to open task manager and end the task that way. :) So if anyone knows any other useful tweaks or how to enable the autoendtasks tweak I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your help! :)

    Hi,
This tweak is available in Vista Manager so it must be in the registry somewhere. VM is full of useful tweaks, but it costs of course.
