    I am purchasing a laptop computer from a friend and he insists that his name be removed from the Windows XP registration. I know that this is probably a dumb question, so here goes. Can this be done without a big hassle?

    Hello David,

    Go here http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm and under Q and R scroll down to Registered Owner and Organization.

    The directions will tell you to download a script to make the change.
