My beloved Belkin F8E189 Dual Mouse Trackball is doubleclicking instead of single clicking most of the time. I took it apart and cleaned it when I first noticed the problem. I uninstalled the software that goes with it, and though limited in function, it worked fine clicking. Then I reinstalled the drivers from the Belkin website and the doubleclick problem is back. Yes, it is set on the slowest speed to click...I have run out of ideas. Do I need a new trackball? What made this one go goofy? Any help would be appreciated- even checking my email has become a nuisance with this involuntary double click. TIA

The problem that I had with a MS Optical was due to the user ( me ) having asigned the buttons improperly.

One time I also told the setup that the mouse was on the left of keyboard not on the right. And I assigned the buttons for it being on the right side. MASS confusion.

Instead of draging the keybaord into the mess. I believe right or left handed would be much better.
