i live in arizona. i use SystemSuite to clean things out on my computer. well, i cleaned some never used registry files. it included all the times zones for the world over.

since the time changed for everyone else, it keeps changing the time on my coputer for me.

how do i get back the time zone registry file thingies so i can see the right time everyday?

thought this would be the best place to ask. my os is XP btw.

thank you for any help you can give me.:)

Have never used SystemSuite. It might have an option to "undo" what it did... Have to be carefull with these type programs.

does anyone know of somewhere i can maybe download the registry files to put the different time zones back on my computer?

i remember some site that had lots of different downloads for various things, its where i found the file to enable thumbnails on my win98 computer. i cant remember where that site was though.

    sorry to be a bother

A couple of things you could do ........

Start > Run > sfc /scannow - note the space after sfc.

This will run the System File Checker - no idea if this will resolve the problem of your missing Registry entries ....

    or

Download an applet to set the time automatically for you - similar to the built in time synch in XP - disable this.

I use YacsMon, but can't find a download site on Google - an alternative is Atomic Clock - freeware.

BTW - have you a System Restore point prior to running SystemSuite and have you checked to see if it made a back up of the reg files?

If you want, I can email you a reg file with all the time zones in it. This would just be the time zone reg keys exported from my registry. Don't know if this will get you what you want or not but you can always set a restore point before you run the reg file. Then if it's not what you're after you can just use system restore to get things back to where they currently are.
