    Thanks, Westside.

However, my situation is that I just signed up for AT&T DSL, I use gmail for my email and Opera as my email client. I was thinking of trying Thunderbird instead of Opera as email client, but I am worried about whether AT&T will allow me to use TB to get my gmail. Does this make any sense? I would have to learn all about TB, first, of course, but don't know if AT&T will let me use it.

    TIA

    Ann,

There shouldn't be any problem using TB to get your gmail. This is how to setup TB for gmail: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13285

Even though ATT doesn't support TB, it doesn't mean that you can't use the program.
