I ran a scan with Spybot S&D and this entry came up:

    TheGuardian
TheGuardian: Root class (Registry key, nothing done)
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IEHlprObj.IEHlprObj.1

TheGuardian: Root class (Registry key, nothing done)
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IEHlprObj.IEHlprObj

What is this and should I delete it or is it something that I need? Thanks.

The only thing that I could find on this is that it was added to the malware definitions for Spybot in the last week or so. I am assuming that it is bad and have allowed Spybot to fix the problem. I wish I knew more about it and where it could have come from.

    Hello alc,

    This thing is a BrowserHelperObject.

In IE tools drop down menu > Manage Add-ons. After Spybot, this BHO should either be disabled or not there.

http://forums.net-integration.net/ SpyBot forum site - ask to get a better explanation for this.

    Regards - Charles
