Yes, try a jumper from another Motherboard. If that doesn't do it, I'll go take a look at your manual, however, I'm curious as to what options you have under the CPU host setting.

To achieve 266 MHz Bus Speed (2x133), J9 has to be jumpered (atta boy Matt) as per instruction on page 2-30 of your mainboard manual. You may also have to set the Host Clock in the BIOS to 133 as referenced in the first section of your manual.

    ;)

Hi there thanks, I am making progress I inserted a Jumper from a old mobo onto that Jumper on the board and booted and on the start up screen it showed
AMD Athlon 2000+ so that made me real happy.
I then had a look in Everest and there it tells me:
    AMD Athlon XP 1666MHz (12.5 X 133 ) 2000+
watching the frequency it was moving around just a fraction from 1666.23 - 1666.2 no big jumps. But I still can not find anything in the BIOS to set this.
It must have picked up automatically after inserting the Jumper.
What is your opinion on this setting now. Can it be left at that or is there a need to make adjustments in the BIOS somewhere.
I am getting somewhere now it looks a lot better thanks to you Guys.
    regards

OK - no need to change anything further re: CPU and Front Side Bus. Mission Accomplished - Good Job.

Thank you thank you :D :D This would not have been achieved without your dedicated help. I will go and have a glass of good Red and I will toast to your good health.
I can now start to dismantle the old Duron 800 and replace it with the unit that I have mounted on the Test Bench.
Thank you also to all the other Members who have given their Advice here.
    Regards
