I keep receiving mail back from contacts with messages like: filters prevented this message from going through OR So-and-So's mail box is beyond its quota. And thus my email bounces back at me. Yet when I send the email via Yahoo's webmail, it makes it. What is going on?

It could be that the contacts in question have your ISP domain blocked and Yahoo is not. If they contact their email provider, an explanation may be provided.

I thought about that and I pray that is not the case. The strange thing is... this is not just an isolated instance. I've received this bounce-back message a number of times now. Very peculiar. I've contacted my ISP so we'll see what they have to say.

James, it should not be your ISP. It is their ISP which is bouncing. It would be interesting to see if another address with the same ISP would fare better. It happened to me. and, i found out that some no-gooder was using one of my usernames to send spam and viruses. After speaking with my ISP tech people, I determined that I was not compromised, but that I should take that address out of circulation. Now, i am using four different usernames. And, it has been so peaceful.

Ah! Now that had not occurred to me, Westside. I'll look into this. Thanks for the insight. :(
