Taskbar width

    Is there any way I can make my taskbar go on a diet anf apprear narrower? Just trying to conserve some screen real estate. :)

    You can hide the taskbar by right clicking on a blank area, and under Properties>Taskbar Options put a check mark in the Auto Hide box. It will the only show up when you move the cursor to the bottom of the screen. You can also resize the task bar by moving the mouse arrow over it until you get the double headed arrow then dragging up or down to resize.

    Thank you johnB! good idea but I usually surf multiple sites at the same time so I need the taskbar handy do you think its possible to make it narrower? I looked under Display Properties/Appearnce but no such luck

    If using IE try hitting the F11 key. Need it reversed, do the same second verse.

    Autohide still leaves the taskbar handy. Just move mouse down to where the taskbar aught to be and there it is.

    Win key will also bring it back in an instant.

    If multiple tasks are running such as lots of IE's, using alt+tab will switch between them, without any need for taskbar.

    Toolbar ------taskbar
    simply grab the taskbar with mouse and pull down er up
    You can do the same with toolbar well sort of if its unlocked

    ???
    Are you fixed up ?
