I running XP and my grandson did something. My taskbar is Twice as thick (two high) I can not drag it down to normal Height. I deleted all Icons in the quick launch. Still can't drag it down.
I can drag it down to normal size On if I unlock the toolbar and uncheck the quick launch ( deactivate quick launch) But if I go back and turn back on quick launch it will automatically jump back to double size (two High)
I can move it from bottom to the side of the screen and back ok Only at the bottom I can not size it up and or down when using quick launch. I also can not slide the quick launch slide that the icon show in
anyone with any thoughts on how to correct it
    Thanks
    John

Try this:First be sure the taskbar is unlocked. Next you need to be sure that
there are no toolbars located in the unwanted level. Additional toolbar
edge/s can be identified by a nearly invisible series of little vertical
    dots.

You can't reduce the width of the taskbar with the double arrow as long
as there is some toolbar content in the unwanted level. You need to drag
that toolbar into the level you want or hide/eliminate it until you get
    the thickness you want.

When you get the taskbar the right size/thickness you can lock it. Neil.

I could not get that to work. I could not moved the roll of vertical dots when the tool bar was locked or not with the double arrows.
I did get it fixed by doing this.
I dragged the taskbar to the right side of the screen (vertical) and resized the thickness, and then I was able to slide the vertical dots that the quick launch icons set between then moved it back to the bottom of my screen, everything was ok then
    Now it is normal.
    Thanks
