Task Mnager Wont Open!?

Task Mnager Wont Open!?!?!?!?!?!?!

i want to open the task manager but it wont open!

ive tried ctrl+alt+delete, right clicking on taskbar etc.

it shows in the bottom right hand corner next to the time (the little green box) then i put the mouse on it and it disappears


please help!!

I found this info. Not sure which way you are using Windows..... ctrl+alt+del should bring the TM out BUT if you do not use the Welcome screen log on or are joined to a Windows domain then press ctrl+alt+del & then click the Task Manager buuton in the Windows Security dialog box.

Regardless of which system to log on - have you tried Ctrl+shift+Esc ?

This should work regardless of config.

it shows the egg timer as if it is doing something but i never get a box popping up?!?!?!?!?!

 

Let me echo Abraxas - And the event log entries when you have the failure are ___?? (errors and warnings are all you need to pay attention to in this instance)
