    Hi~~Ramona and All,
After all the frustrations trying to get TB to work^%$#$%^! It turned out to be a corrupted download, apparently?? Always try the obvious first , right!
I uninstalled it several times, didn't help. Obviously, the DL was the problem.
I deleted "everything " on my drive and installed from the CD~~it worked perfectly the first time! Go figure??
Now, I 'm doing research to make TB my "only" email client. I have soooo much stored in my NS7.0 email client, I don't feel secure YET trying to move all
    that material over??
I see from one of your section replies that I should have had the option upon the orginal install to move all emails into TB?? I didn't get that option, it just installed from the CD and went directly into setup??
I'm so happy I finally got it up and running, I can wait to figure out the details...
Thanks~~so much Ramona and all for your patience and kindness.

    John in Dallas.

    John,

Glad to hear that you did get Firefox installed!
To make TB your default Mail Client:
    Tools | Options | General
Enable: General Settings | Make Thunderbird the Default Mail Client

    Netscape 7.0
    Edit | Preferences | Mail & Newsgroups
Disable: General Settings - Use Netscape Mail as the default Mail application

Start | Settings | Control Panel | Internet Options
    Click on the Programs tab
Ensure that Mozilla Thunderbird is entered in the E-mail field

Moving your Mail will be easy for you. First of all, back up your Profiles folder. Once you have a backup, then even if you goof, you have a backup and can start again.

This is a page I have set up which has the procedure for transferring your Mail files: http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns7mailtrnsfr.html

If you have further questions, let us know.

    Ramona
