    Howdy :)

Is there anyway I can change the Clock in the system tray to display the day and date also? I remember it could be done on windows 98...

Also, I've seen others with win2k who have drop shows on icons, and transparent text backgrounds on icons.. how is this done?

    Many thanks :)

JimmyHetfield --I guess you know that you can see the month, day and year by passing the mouse over the clock, but that display disappears when you move the mouse.
    Here are several suggestions

    See especially Johanna's post.
Don't know if that works for Win2000/2003.
Concerning see through backgrounds, I know third party programs can do it.
    Such as
    http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1524580,00.asp
This program is pretty ancient, but if it works on WinNT, I would suspect it would work on Win 2000. No guarantees.
Regret, can't help with the other question.

Win2k doesn't give me the option for the really long date format...

I'm going to try one of the tools though.

    Thanks :)
