   I wanted to use my system restore to help correct a failed software issue. But, I go to the program, and it just loads a blank page, with "system restore" in the title box. I've rebooted, shut it down, and nothing happens.

   System Restore opens to a blank window? Note the reference to the cumulative update to IE.
   
   Some more helpful suggestions here ....
