System Idle Time

    Hi all,


    Could any one help me how to track the system idle time in windows xp O/S (Ex. idle time keyboard and mouse for 20 mins).

    I need through command line find the system idle for 20 miniuts.

    Do you mean setting the time for the screen saver to come on or the power settings? They are under Control Panel -> Display -> Screen Saver tab or Control Panel -> Power Options.

    Hi Mattman,

    I want to know exactly, If a user has not given any input keyboard and mouse or idle time for x minutes i want to know where we can find the exact path in the system or rigistry.

    Kindly help regarding this issue.

    It isn't something you can do with tools/commands included in Windows.

    Your posts clearly indicate you are trying to solve (school) assignments... these need custom (programming) solutions, not something you'll get here.
