I've posted a message a few days ago but I still havent been able to fix my problem. i started reformating my computer and I got fed up that i wasn't working right so i shut it down and i tried it again later but now whenever it starts up it says "invalid system disk, replace the disk, and then press any key ". This happens whether there is a floppy disk in or not. Someone suggested making it so it ran off of the windows recovery disk. I'd try this but unsure how to do that. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi KinkyEeyore
So people don't get lost.... I'm linking to your old thread.
Can you tell us if you have a start up disk and a full version of Windows ME?

    From your old thread...
Maybe there is a problem with your startup disk. You can download a utility from www.bootdisk.com that will create a new boot disk for your WinME.

Let's just stay with this thread, your other one was hijacked, and to prevent further confusion.
I am going to assume that you did have a floppy work for you, and the boot order of the computer is so the floppy is accessed first. My first thought is what dobhar has suggested, your boot floppy is corrupt. His link is the place to go to create a new one.
But before you start formatting again, would you explain as to what problem that you have run across while formatting? Some of the format was done as the boot record was wiped out, thus the 'non system disk' with no floppy in. Do you have some error message such as FAT file could not be created? Or could not access boot record?
