I am using Sysprep for XP. Everytime I reboot the machine, it defaults and sets tcp/ip to register dns. I only have the user input their name, the rest is in the script. But the Dns gets me every time. I use dhcp.

    ????

I thought sysprep was for doing initial install, modifications, making loadable images, and such.

It sounds like you are running it at every boot.

And could you explain " ... sets tcp/ip to register dns. " cause I'm not really at all sure what you mean.

Do you have DHCP set to provide DNS information automatically?

It is a check box in the tcp/ip setting tab. It defaults and checks it.

I am creating an image. And when we boot the imaged machine, everytime that check box is check. Even tho it wasn't on the image.
