I am trying something completely new.

    I have Kerio Installed.

Is just disabling it enough or should I uninstall Kerio ?

And I found out VERY quickly that Sygate is working.

I'd suggest uninstalling. Multiple firewalls often interfere with one another. But if you have no problems.....

I read a post once about someone who has 3 firewalls, just for added safety. Not only is that a complete waste of time and hard to get working, but it explained his 100% CPU problem pretty well, too ;)

    All is oK right now.

After three attempts to find it I FINALLY found the Checkbox to stop Kerio from loading at start up.

I have even ticked off a couple of Kids that can't play games between this machine and the others.

Seeing that you have used both Keno and Sygate firewall I was wondering which one you liked best? As I am using Norton's firewall now and my year is just about up. That means getting a new firewall or paying Norton for one year of updates.

All I can honestly say right now is the Kerio has done me well. And seems to be easier to set up. And I had not problems with it.

And I do think that Kerio does hust as well and Norton with FAR LESS system load and less diskspace usage.

And the better part may well be that is is not Windows version specific as Norton can be. I do very much like that part.

I had Sygate in but I messed with it wirhout knowing what I was up to and lost my Network ( not Internet ) connections.

    :( In short. I MESSED UP :(

But when things get settled down here I will have another go at it.

    Ease of use=Kerio.
    Maybe more solid protection=Sygate.
