swx file

    I created a file in my docs with open office it now has swx file next to it and I cannot open it and I seem to have lost open office programme, have looked for it but it has just disappeared. I really need to ope n the file any suggestions

    Have a look at it with notepad. If you skip over the garbage you may see the text you want, and if so jusr mark and copy it to another notepad or other editor.

    Start > Run > C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.X\program\soffice.exe
    (where 2.X = the version you installed)
    Or just go to that dir via My Computer and double click soffice.exe.
