Firstly, RealNetworks has a rather poor track record in relation to privacy matters (try Googling for "RealNetworks + Privcay + Invasion "). Secondly, the player is (or maybe I should say "was" as I have no recent experience of it) quite invasive and the installation gave users little control over associations, startup options, etc, etc.
