When I am searching the web, playing a game, etc, my cursor starts wondering across the screen, then freezes. I have to turn the computer off and back on, and sometimes it does not free up for a couple of days. I have tried unplugging it and plugging it back in with no success. Any suggestions?

Hi caren, Welcome to BBS. I would assume that your mouse is USB as you might do some damage if it's PS2. Have you tried > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Mice > click and update driver? Let's know if that helps but the other question would be, How old is the mouse and is it track-ball type? If so it may need cleaning. Cheers Neil.
