In the windowns explorer (explorer.exe) on the right side you have the following (for media files):

    Name
    Size
    Type
    Date
    Duration (movies & music)
    Dimension (movies & pictures)
    Artist (music)
    Album Title (music)
    Year (music)
    Track Number (music)
    Date Picture taken (pictures)

When you click on a folder with movies file, pictures, etc. and windows starts to fill in the info (depending on the file). That takes a lot of memory and I don't need that info...

The only info I want to show is:

    Name
    Size
    Type
    Date

    Does this help???

Now I understand what you were referring to :)

This should solve your problem ....

In Windows Explorer go to a folder containing media files and right click on one of the headers in the right hand pane - Name, Size, Type, etc. A dropdown list should appear with the columns shown checked. Uncheck those you do not want to show - if they are not on the list click on More.

OK, that works, but how can I get it to do ALL folders at the same time (as well as all future folders).

With the folder in which you set up the columns as you want them open go Tools > Folder Options > View tab > Apply to all folders.
