    hello,

I have just started to get 0x805000f stop errors.

    I'm running Win2003 Server w/ all patches.
    AMD Athlon XP 2500 cpu w/ 512MB

I noticed this first happening on 7/11 then again today 7/19.

Perhaps it is due to a critical update ?

Just wanted to follow up. Plust thank you for the information.

Looks like my problem is gone now with the restarts.

I looked at the Event log again and noticed there were quite a few reports of Bad Blocks on the disk.

So I imaged off the drive and replaced it. Voila ! The problems disappeared.

I hope I am not speaking too soon, but it hasn't rebooted since my last post.
    ;)

actually I should be more accurate.

My attempt to image the drive failed at that point, so I had to restore a previous image that checked out ok.

So perhaps the disk was damaged to the point Windows failed with that specific error. As someone pointed out, it could've been RAM, and in this case it might have been paged memory that caused it.
