    IE 6 -

I've got two queries here, firstly I like the status bar displayed whilst I'm browsing, which is fine but whenever I open a new window I always have to re-select it in the view menu in the new window......is there anyway to have the status bar a permanent setting in all windows in IE6?

Secondly, I'm sure this is a glitch of some sort but occasionally (normally if my PC's been on a while) when I'm connected to the internet IE will simply refuse to display any pages, saying 'page cannot be displayed'. I have tried all pages and everything’s correct at my end, and the only way to resolve the problem is to restart my computer, and then its fine!? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Try this for the status bar:

    Close all your applications
    Open Explorer (Window Key-E)
Select View, Status Bar (you should now see the status bar)
    Goto Tools, Folder Options
    Goto the View tab
    Hit, apply to all folders
    Hit ok to accept
    Close that instance of Explorer

For the Internet Explorer question, which operating system are you using?
