startup error message

after lots of problems yesterday un/reinstalling norton systemworks, now when i start my computer up i get this error message:

Error loading C:WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll

how do i fix it?

I strongly suggest, (even without knowing the details of what happened yesterday that caused such problems that required a Norton battle)...

Just to be sure your clean and that you've cleaned up properally, that you need to pay a trip to our security forum and follow the directions in the sticky at the top of the forum:

You may be infested with one or more critters.

 

thanks for your suggestion ... that seems to have cleared it up. i don't know enough to start messing with registry without very clear instructions.

the norton problem was actually from trying to uninstall go back. not all of the elements went away and that was causing other problems at startup.

i already use ad aware, but the other one that was suggested i use in tandem with it at the link you sent me to said they have compatibility issues with norton too, so i left well enough alone for now. my internet security still works, i just can't reinstall systemworks yet.
