    All of a sudden I have no Start up Menu! :(

    J.Lee--I do not have a clear picture of the situation. Are you saying you have only a blank Desktop? Do you have a taskbar (the bar at the bottom of the Desktop with clock, etc.)? Do you mean the Start button is missing?
    Have you tried a reboot?
    Do you know how to run scanreg /restore from a DOS window?

    Hi Welsh Jim,
    I solved the problem myself after thinking for a long....time.
    I went to Add/Remove in the control panel and repaired
    Internet Explorer. Prior to that all I had were the desktop
    icons and no task bar. I appreciate your quick reply. Thanks!

    J.Lee--Glad to hear the good news!! Just like Bill says, IE and Windows Explorer have to be linked to work right! :D
