My start menu was a mess, so I cleaned it up. What I noticed when I did, however, is you have to go to both

    Documents and Settings/Administrator/Start Menu

    --and--

Documents and Settings/All Users/ Start Menu

to do a thorough cleanup. So I ask, why the redundancy. Can you just have all your Start Menu programs in one folder?

    Hi and welcome!

The redundancy is necessary in order for 2k & XP to offer security and individuality to multi users. Some things can belong to only certain users while others can be selected to share with all users. The key idea is that it can be user configured.
