'Start' disappeared

    Could anyone tell me why the 'Start' button has disappeared from the taskbar and how it can be restored? Thank you.

    All's well that ends well, it's back. It seems to have migrated off-screen and by clicking and dragging at the left hand side of the screen it came back.

    I really must stop talking with myself and get a life :)
