Spylocked Program

Any luck downloading AVG? We didn't need a new SmithFraud Fix component, it was the AVG. Lets set aside the AVG scan for now and run the second part of SmithFraud Fix.

Then run HJT again and post it please.

 

As an added note I did a smitfraud scan and it got rid of the blinking Icon which represented Spylocked. It does not show any more. If you find something that I may have missed let me know. Thanks again for all of your help...Please look at this and let me know if my system is running clean.

Ok, glad to hear the SmithFraud tool worked.

We have a couple of minor items to fix with HJT, unrelated to malware.

Open Hijackthis, select the [Do a system scan only] button and look over the following entries I have listed, check the boxes [] next to them and press the [Fix Checked] button. When you are doing this, make sure you have No IE windows, nor any other browsers open, including this one. Reboot if I have specified below, and post a fresh HijackThis log.

Spylock

Hello, I also have the flashing Icon that won't go away and It's called spylock. I tried the things posted In here and It took me three hours to get my computer back!!! Very frustrating to say the least! It really messed up the color resoulation. I could not change that at all....could not system restore...tried several dates. Still don't know how I got everything to work right but the darn spylock Is still In my computer so I don't want to try spybot again. How did you get rid of your?

Bev, you need to start your own HijackThis thread. All systems and malware are not created equal therefore it may require different programs and methods for cleaning your system.

 

SpyLocked

Hello, Thank you for your response.
I went to the hijackthis site and It showed me Spy Sweeper. I have that already and It did not work. It did not even detect the SpyLock on my computer. Any help would be appreciated. I also have the AVG and that did not detect this pest either.
