Been away a few days ..................

When you downloaded the driver for the Lexmark did you follow the instructions on the download page to the letter? - did you run the X63 Clean Utility as advised. etc, etc?

I'm not familiar with Lexmark printers - use Epson, but they all have their own ways for re-installing/updating drivers and following any other route often leads to problems.

I suggest you uninstall ALL the printer drivers and the printer - following the instructions on the download page exactly. Even if you are not asked to reboot after uninstalling - do so.

To check on the print spooler go to :

    Start > Printers and Faxes

    or in Windows Classic view

Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes

File > Server Properties > Advanced

In the Spool Folder box you should see the default location for the print spooler:

    C:\Windows\System32\spool\printers

If this is correct there should be no problems.

You can move the spool folder to whatever location you like - mine is on a separate partition. So if you continue to have problems you could create a new folder on your C drive, call it, say Print Spool and in the Spool Folder box type C:\Print Spool.
