SP3 version data

    I thought that my unit was upgraded with SP3 but System Information shows
    Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600. My unit is XP Pro

    In another forum, someone with XP Home Edition has System Information as
    Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600.

    Everything is the same except for the Service Pack #
    Is it possible to have the same version number for two different versions?

    Build 2600 is the basic XP build no. - it is not affected AFAIK by the flavour of Service Pack installed - screenshots.
