I installed Windows XP (Home) the other day, now any actions that have sounds don't play right. As example, when I boot up, a sound should play when Windows starts. Instead of hearing the entire sound (wav), I only hear a fraction of it. Same thing happens if I try to play wav or mid files. Any solutions?

Integrated sound card? What processor? I've seen this with machines that are close to the XP minimum reqs. and integrated sound cards....

All better now...a second install took care of it! And yes, it's an integrated MB with sound and video cards. What drove me crazy was the fact I could play CDs, but the wav and mid files didn't work right. Anyway, I'm a happy camper now that all is well in my XP world.
