i am having a problem with the sound from an online radio station that i have been listening to. the website in question is www.2000radio.com and the low fi 28k/bit connection, it says its playing but know sound is comming from it, this has been the case for the last week. i thought there was a problem with my computer but all other sites that features sound i.e. online radio stations or youtube work fine, i just want to know what the problem may be the website is www.2000radio.com if anyone wanted to check if the sound works on there computer or maybe someone knows or can recommend what the problem might be?

not familiar with the specific service
to check out your sound - first my computer > right click > properties > hardware > device manager

check to see that there are no asteriks etc by the sound devices to indicate that there are no problems
then go through each sound device ( the devices are listed alphabetically) and check if the devices are listed as "working properly)

    2) control panel > sound

see if the device is being used and not that there is no installed device or the wrong device ( say a headphone ) is selected as the output device

    3) check the volumes in the sound control panel
also that the mute is not checked ( common problem)

you can use the audio webcam set up in microsoft messenger to check out if your sound setup works

lastly although windows xp has the largest catalogue of drivers if the computer , motherboard or devices are newer than windows xp you need additional software installs to get the sound to work

you may have to hunt out the additional software from the websites of the motherboard / computer or sound card to install otherwise the sound may not be working at all even if windows xp is installed.

    have fun

    Maybe it's about your settings.

On the site, sure your settings.
