Some errors occurred. . .

Here's a puzzler for ya.

I'm using Win98SE and OE 5.01. We are hooked up to a locally-owned, small town ISP. We have three e-mail accounts set up through them. Okay, so far, so good.

My problem: About 40% of the time when I check the e-mail I get the following error notice.
The host 'mail.xxxxxxxx.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'xxxxxx Mail', Server: 'mail.xxxxxxxx.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

The thing that is driving me up the wall is the fact that it is always the same e-mail account that draws the error but it doesn't do it every time. Usually just once or twice in every five trys. All three accounts are set up exactly the same with the exception of the account name.

Dosen't give you a workaround, but if you do/don't have whats listed at the bottom, that may be the reason.

Thanks for the post. I took a look and couldn't find anything wrong there. Tomorrow I'm going to my ISP's office (part of the beauty of not being hooked up to a major ISP ) and give their resident guru a screenshot of the error message and see what he thinks.
