    Probably all of the software you use is already checking for updates;)

    'PSI' and 'SI' are quite different actually, I find it fine to use both. While the former verifies whether my software is safe to use at all, Software Informer is of much help when checking all the programmes for available updates becomes a daylong task. Automation surely contributes to the process.

    They seem to have modernised their algorithms lately - SI's information has evidently become more timely and actual. There is nothing to advise against, anyway.
