Slow keyboard

Hi Guys

I work as a service engineer for a major UK/World company.

Went to a job the other day and the problem was the keyboard wasnt working, one of the girls who use the epos computer said that their manager is "a real tinkerer and was looking at some settings or something and thats when the problem started ". We use a small keyboard with the hot keys set up and its not a qwerty board its an ABCDEF board. Its connected using PS2.

I couldnt get my spare qwerty board to work in it so used my usb board and managed to log in after reboot anyway

Threw away the old board and put in new qwerty board it works to a fashion but you have to hold the key down for half a second for a letter or enter to work. Running win xppro

Any ideas? On Monday i was going to run in safe mode and delete the keyboard etc.

The keyboard layout is set in Regional and Language Options -> Language tab -> Text services and input languages. It might have been set Dvorak or US international (I've only used Qwerty [US 101/102]).

It may have had software associated with it, so check in Add/Remove Programs.
