Hey everyone, hope you all had a good holiday.

So I got real sick tonight and literally passed out with my computer on, still on the same folder I was viewing. When I woke up like 2 hours later I had this slimware driver update program running telling me I had a bunch of problems. I have been having some issues with a couple USB ports, and those were listed as problems, as well as periodic hanging that doesn't seem to respond to ctrl+alt+delete until the computer is functioning again. I don't think it's ever lasted longer than 30-45 seconds but it's still frequent enough to cause concern. Not sure if that's related, but I'm gonna tell you about it any way just in case.

So this "Slimware Driver update" seems to have mixed reviews. With the USB port acting funky at times I'm wondering if maybe there is a driver issue so that makes me tempted to go ahead and run the thing but I can't remember installing it. Tis' the season to be tipsy so who knows what I did on...12/27/2014...

So I'm wondering if any of you have had any experience with this program, if it's safe and legit or should I remove it? Because I'm all for anything that improves system performance but this program popped up out of no where.

Your thoughts? All problems are being listed as "out of date," which really doesn't seem like a big enough deal to just barge onto my computer and start running itself. I don't let many programs start up on my computer and usually make them manual in services...but I can't even find this thing in services, which is another cause for concern. Neither under slimware or driver update.

Replies appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

Head over to the Malware section. Read the top Announcement. Then post what is asked.
