After installing XP PRO over Me I discovered that no drivers are or will be available for my 2 year old Sony tape backup and my 3 year old Canon printer-fax-scanner so both will not work with XP PRO. My question is, if I partition my 30 GB HD and put Me on the first partition then install XP PRO on the second partition, will the Sony backup installed on the Me partition be capable of backing up the entire HD? Thanks in advance for your thaughts.

For a good how-to on setting your system up to dual boot, take a look at Create a Multiple-Boot System in Windows XP (Q306559) .

As to the backup question, I can't answer you for sure but I would think it should work if you have XP set up as FAT32. If NTFS, I'm not sure that a ME application could even see that part of the hard drive. Hopefully someone with knowledge will speak up here.
