Have two desktops -- Windows 98 -- linked by Network Neighborhood.

Computer A has CD burner as extra drive. Computer B has Zip drive as extra drive.

Is it possible to operate the Zip drive on B from A, and read and/or copy files from the Zip Disk? Drive D on computer B has been enabled for sharing, but when using Network Neighborhood it does not show up on the display.

If possible, how is it done?

    Thanks.

You should be able to use the zip drive as a network share. Maybe need to have a disk /w contents in it. Not positive.

Why not try without using network neighborhood which doesn't always behave.

Lets assume you have computerb and the zip drive shared as zip.

From computer A (and with a disk in the zip drive) open windows explorer, go to tools~map network drive and put in \\computerb\zip and see if you get a connection.

Or else do start~run~\\computerb\zip and see if it opens up.
