Windows Vista Setting up Aero

    The help file says in order to run aero you have to set frame transparency to on. The whole problem is I can't find the control. The help file says its on the color scheme page, but it is not on my Vista Home Premium. All I have is Scheme, Effects and Advanced. Nowhere is there anything about window frames.

    Can anyone help?

    Sounds like your hardware doesn't support Aero.

    If you go into Control Panel > System and Maintenance, click Check your computer's Windows Experience Index base score. What does it list for Desktop performance for Windows Aero?

    As usual with most things in life, this turned out to be my fault. Using a tweaking program, I had tweaked my desktop settings. This prevented the transparency setting from appearing. When I "untweaked" it, it showed up just where it is supposed to. I have ample hardware. The video for aero is rated a 3.9. It only took me two hours to figure out what I had done.
