I know you can create hotkey combos for shortcuts and the like, but I was wondering if it's possible (either through MS or third-party app) to be able to send text to an active element using a hotkey combo?

For instance, I've created a psuedo-macro in Outlook. Once the button is pressed, it opens a template but in the template, I would like to enter the current date into the subject line. I didn't create this via VBA editor, so I'm unsure of how to send text to it.

    Any/all ideas are welcome.

I use ClipCache Plus to "paste" standard email replies in my emails using hotkeys (ALT+B, ALT+K, etc.)
