I have a problem sending an email with 5 attachments.

I am able to send out using Outlook Express but when i try to send it out in netscape it will get to about 75-95% done but then it will not go through.

I have tried unistalling/reinstalling the software. I ve tried several versions of netscape 7.0 and 7.02. I have created new profiles, i have deleted the msf files.

I have even edited the registry removing all instances of netscape/mozilla.

    Please Advise
    thanks

It sounds like your problem involves attachments too large taking too much time. What kind of connection do you have -- dial-up, cable, DSL?

What size are your attachments? Small text files? Large image files? In what format are they -- txt, jpeg, tiff?

I have a similar problem! I get the following Error Message when I try to send a WinZip file that is 2.9M large containing 16 .jpg files:
"The message could not be sent because connecting to the SMPT server failed. The server maybe unavailable or refusing SMPT connections. Please verify your SMPT server setting is correct and try again, or else contact your network administrator. "
The progress bar indicates between 80 and 99% complete delivering the mail when I get this error message.
I've just recently upgraded to 7.02 from 4.79. I never had any problems sending e-mails this large with 4.79.
If I make the Zip file smaller (1.3M), it will go thru in 7.02.
Is there some limitation I'm having or a setting I can adjust?
    My computer is:
    Acer Open: Pentium 200MMX, 64M RAM, Win 98SE, 3.2G HardDrive (50% full)
    Browser: Netscape 7.02
    Broadband: BellSouth DSL
ZoneAlarm (current), VirusScan 7.02.6 Thanks for any help!! SKEETF

I had Mcafee Virusscan and Mcafee Firewall installed on my OS. When i disabled the two i was able to send out the email with the 5 file attachments. I believe i will have to play with the settings in both programs to allow for this.

    Thanks -

Thanks for the tip!! I unloaded VirusScan (I previously disabled it and that didn't work) and now my 2.9M, 16 file Zip file went thru just fine. SKEETF
