    I am thinking about installing a second hard drive.I have a have a dvd an a cdrw installed.If I had a scsi card will it improve my speed?Also is there any scsi cards that anyone would suggest that don't cost an arm and a leg?Thanks

    Dont waste your time with a SCSI drive. The cost per gig is way too high.
    If you want performance or redundence get a RAID card.
    Promise makes a good one. www.promise.com
    The promise 100 will run up to 4 IDE drives and it's less than 100 bucks.
    You can hook 2 ultra 100 IDE drives to this card and config to Stripe (or performance) mode and see data rates up to 100MB per second.
