screen goes sideways

    My sister-inlaw called me last night from Wisconsin. She told me that everything on her laptop went sideways,like a 45 degree angle. She said she was playing a game and she don't know if she hit a wrong key or what ,but everything went sideways. She tried rebooting but to no avail. Could it be a bad video driver? If so then,the motherboard will need to be replaced,right.
    Anybody have any ideas?

    First thing to check is if there is a screen rotate facility on the laptop - could try the Fn key + arrow keys. Better still check out the manual.
    No - if the driver is corrupt a reinstall would fix the problem.

    If you don't have access to the manual post the make & model no. of the laptop here.

    She figured it out. She hit the control,Alt and the uparrow and that took care of it.
